Ménâge a trios
where God enshrined in landscape
what She did when She created woman:
the cleaving of the chasm
commemoration of perfection
cataract where man meets woman
and woman meets her Maker
meeting of privilege and place
seduction, tryst, and hymn in Xanadu
the waterfall called Iguazú.
In
celebration or in proxy
her hatchet had no hesitation
no doubt nor caution in the blow that parted nature
to give and sanctify delight
rampage of savageries, shivers and surrender
pleasures of divinity
carved in rock at Iguazú
to show all nonbelievers Her finesse
holy trembling barefoot beauty of the abyss.
